Our Story

Official Para Connect® was born from a realization that could not be ignored.

In 2019, on the campus of University of North Carolina at Charlotte, it became clear that Greek paraphernalia was not being created with all women in mind. Extended sizing was not truly available, and when it appeared to be, it often did not reflect real fit. Pieces labeled beyond an XL or 2XL did not always translate in a way that actually supported the women wearing them. At the same time, pricing did not always align with college students, even though these organizations were founded by and for women in that exact season of life.

That disconnect mattered.

Because Black Greek life is not just about apparel. It is history. It is legacy shaped by women who were excluded from existing spaces or, in many cases, were never considered within them at all. So they created their own. Across HBCUs and PWIs, Black women built sororities that fostered sisterhood, leadership, service, and belonging. They created something that would outlive them.

That kind of history deserves to be honored with intention.

Official Para Connect® exists to do exactly that.

Every piece begins with research, reflection, and respect. The stories, the campuses, and the symbolism are studied before a design ever takes shape. Some pieces honor traditional elements that are central to each organization’s identity. Others are designed with quieter references, the kind of details that speak without needing explanation. Pieces that feel familiar the moment they are seen. Pieces that carry a quiet confidence. The kind where, if you know, you know.

Every design is created with intention first. Some are brought to life through embroidery or graphic production, but the vision always begins the same way, thoughtfully and with purpose.

As the brand has grown, so has the community behind it.

Official Para Connect® has served women across the United States and on military bases around the world. It has shown up at conferences, regionals, and national events, creating moments that extend far beyond the product itself. It has also remained committed to giving back, supporting charitable efforts that directly impact the Charlotte community.

What begins as a purchase often becomes something more. Conversations continue. Names are remembered. Women return year after year, and those moments are valued deeply.
